The hostel will not be held liable for the loss or damage of any personal goods, including cash, a mobile phone, a scooter, a motorcycle, a car, or other valuables. The advice given to the locals is to insure their cars against loss, theft, and fire.

Meals must be consumed in the dining hall of the hostel by all guests. They are prohibited from bringing food or serving items into their rooms.

Residents who cause property damage at the hostel are liable for making repairs. This involves hammering in nails, defacing walls, and harming furniture and fittings. Along with disciplinary action, a fine will be imposed.

Ragging is prohibited in all forms. Those who engage in ragging will face harsh punishment. One of the procedures done right away is suspension from the hostel, as well as withdrawal. Ragging is punishable by up to a year in prison. In addition, the Supreme Court classified ragging as a criminal offence.
